American Airlines cancels Boeing 737 Max flights through mid-August
- Move to extend cancellations will affect 115 flights a day
- Southwest Airlines cancelled flights through 5 August last week
American Airlines announced on Sunday that it was canceling 115 flights a day through mid-August because of problems with the Boeing 737 Max.
The announcement made American the second major carrier to cancel Max flights through the busy summer. Southwest Airlines, the largest operator of Boeing jets, announced last week that it would cancel its Max flights through 5 August. American’s cancellations will last through 19 August.
